Polytechnic Dept: Catherine Koch, dean of the school of business at SAIT, said the school is seeing a lot of demand from that sector, according to Calgary Herald. "But also it's just a lot more complex doing business these days and with the complexity there's a lot more regulation around disclosure in financial statements and corporate disclosures and responding to a growing demand for accountants in the province, SAIT Polytechnic is offering this fall its first baccalaureate degree approved by Alberta Advanced Education and Technology. "Part of it is just a reflection of the more complex business environment we work in," she said. "There's the usual demand first of all just in terms of the growth of the economy and it looks like Alberta is just poised for growth right now, which is fabulous. As reported in the news.
