Amnesty International: For many of the world civilians, 2014 was a year of living more dangerously, says Amnesty International annual report, released Wednesday, according to Metro News. Among other things, it is asking the five permanent members of the UN Security Council to voluntarily renounce their veto rights in situations of mass atrocities and Bombings, beheadings, burning alive. Amid escalating human rights abuses by rogue militias and governments on ruthless campaigns against them the rights group is calling for immediate action to protect those who suffer most in worldwide conflicts.
