Deportation Dept: Xue Yan Tian is accused of misrepresentation for not reporting the death of Yin Kin Chan, a Canadian citizen, because she knew she would have been refused entry, according to The Star. According to court documents, Tian married Chan in Guangdong, China, in 2004 and was sponsored to Toronto two years later. The woman claimed she had lost contact with her husband in the three months before her arrival and a Toronto immigrant faces deportation after federal officials discovered her husband, who was her sponsor, died four months before she arrived here.
