Buying Furniture Dept: Dozens of newly elected members of Parliament are setting up shop in their constituencies. Many among them are hunting for office space, buying furniture and connecting phone lines - and quickly, too, according to Montreal Gazette. "Even if they're not the prettiest spaces, they're probably the hardestworking spaces in our political system," said Peter MacLeod, a public engagement expert in Toronto whose doctoral research in 2004 looked at the function of constituency offices.
