Peter King Dept: Each immigrant stands to receive up to $75,000 as part of a tentative settlement agreement of a proposed class-action lawsuit, according to CBC. The proposed class-action lawsuit was filed in December 2009 on behalf of Peter King, who moved to Halifax from the United Kingdom in 2006 and paid into the program and nova Scotia will pay out about $30 million to hundreds of immigrants who moved to the province after paying into a failed mentorship program.
