Ccis: Finding A Home

Southern Alberta Dept: They come from all walks but all have fears and hopes of a new and very different environment and need help in settling down, finding a home, learning the language and customs, and finding employment that will help them on their way to becoming contributing members of our society, according to Calgary Herald. Under the leadership of executive director Fariborz Birjandian and his board, CCIS offers a wide range of specialized services designed to aid and enhance the integration process and it used to be that after deciding to make Canada their new home, most immigrants would opt for Vancouver, Toronto or Montreal as their choice of a place to settle down to a new life. Now Calgary has become a prime attraction with around 15,000 people annually moving into this city from many parts of the world. The Calgary Catholic Immigration Society has been helping immigrants and refugees with settlement and integration services in southern Alberta for 30 years. As reported in the news.
