Job Seekers Dept: Calgary-area employers expect a healthy hiring climate for the second quarter of 2011, according to the latest Manpower Employment Outlook Survey, according to Calgary Herald. "Calgary's second quarter Net Employment Outlook of 26 per cent is an increase from the previous quarter when area employers reported an outlook of 18 per cent," said Randy Upright, chief executive of Manpower's Alberta Region. "It is also a 15 percentage point increase from the outlook reported during the same time last year, indicating an optimistic hiring climate for the second quarter of 2011." Things are starting to look up for job seekers in the Calgary region. The survey, released Tuesday, said 27 per cent of employers plan to hire for the upcoming quarter April to June , while one per cent anticipate cutbacks. Another 70 per cent of employers plan to maintain current staffing levels and two per cent are unsure of their hiring intentions. As
