Recovery Time Dept: Spacek met with orthopedic surgeon James Andrews, who determined he needed arthroscopic surgery to "clean up" some damage in his right knee, but that there was a good chance he could be playing again in four to six weeks, according to Montreal Gazette. There was some confusion over when Spacek was injured because he continued playing. "I was injured when there was some knee-on-knee contact in the Florida game on Feb. 2 but I kept playing on it," Spacek said yesterday. "It started to swell up and I knew I had to see doctor." Jaroslav Spacek made a visit to Birmingham, Ala., this week and received some good news. "They say four to six weeks, but everyone heals differently," Spacek said, adding he would have a better idea of his recovery time after the operation. He said there hasn't been a decision on when and where the surgery will take place or who will perform the operation, but Spacek said he expects that it will done by the end of the week. As
