City Of Calgary: Municipal Infrastructure

Transportation Infrastructure Dept: I was disappointed to see that Richard Cuthbertson's article on municipal infrastructure misrepresented what I said to him, according to Calgary Herald. We have also transferred over $58 million a year in federal gas tax revenues to the City of Calgary to support transportation infrastructure. Last week's federal budget committed to enshrining this annual transfer in legislation and re: "Kenney criticizes lack of LRT, but won't pledge funds," March 29. I repeatedly emphasized that the Harper government has committed and delivered unprecedented levels of federal funding for transportation infrastructure in Calgary.
