Christians In Egypt: Joyous Occasion

Saad Dept: A newly ordained priest, Father Peter Saad, was giving his first mass Wednesday night for the growing Coptic Christian community, one growing so quickly it needs a new parish, according to CTV. But thoughts of escalating violence against Coptic Christians in Egypt were still fresh in the minds of people attending what should have been a joyous occasion and a night that was supposed to be a celebration for the city's Coptic Christian community was tinged with sadness. "The rate of immigration lately has been the highest," said Firky Francis, secretary at the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul. As reported in the news.
