Fraser River Dept: Feast on salmon today because, in the not-too-distant future, levels of returning salmon will no doubt be much lower, according to Vancouver Sun and this year's abundant return of salmon to the Fraser River will very likely be a flash in the pan. With all levels of government, developers, real estate agents, immigration-industry workers and others foolishly planning to jam a million more people into the lower Fraser Valley in the next few decades, future salmon will have a much more complicated and polluted climb to their spawning grounds.
