Eric Hoskins: War Child Canada

Ontario Politics Dept: A practising family physician, Rhodes Scholar and co-founder of War Child Canada, Hoskins won the provincial by-election in Toronto s St. Paul s riding last year after an earlier defeat in the 2008 federal election. The 49-year-old from Simcoe, Ont. became Ontario s immigration minister in January, according to The Star. Why did you want to become a politician and dr. Eric Hoskins has gone from a career in humanitarian activism on such issues as landmine bans, child soldiers, peacekeeping and human rights in Africa to Ontario politics.
