Immigration Officer: Willis and Dartmouth Years

immigration officer: Justice Suzanne Hood will sentence Willis in July, according to The Chronicle Herald. He remains free on a 5,000 recognizance with a 1,000 cash deposit. Carie Dexter Willis, 58, of Pierrefonds, Que., was convicted on charges of sexual assault, extortion and breach of trust following a trial in Nova Scotia Supreme Court in Halifax this month. Willis was working as an immigration officer when he allegedly committed the offences in Dartmouth 15 years ago. An investigation was launched after the matter was reported to police in late 2014. The Crown alleged Willis used his position of authority over a 26-year-old woman, who was supposed to be deported in June 2003, to extort her for sex on multiple occasions.
