coal: The lawsuit centers on coal ash leaks from power plants, according to NOW Magazine. But one environmental law professor says state involvement doesn t promise a heftier punishment. Environmentalists see the state s participation in a suit against Duke Energy as a significant step that adds to the merit of the claim.
