Action for Healthy Communities AHC a local non-profit that assists newcomers held its first celebration for graduates of a 14-week program it started three years ago to help newcomers succeed in starting their own businesses. The program allows newcomers to better understand the business environment in Alberta, said Aftab Khan, executive director of AHC. They come from all over the world, he said, In their home countries, the business environment is totally different than what is here that's the first challenge.
