nova scotia: I'd spent time in Nova Scotia already and it seemed like a haven from much of what I thought was wrong with the world crime, corruption, consumerism, pollution, blind patriotism and paranoia, according to The Chronicle Herald. And it was just that. In 1978 I was a restless and rebellious young man living in New Jersey looking for some other place in the world where I could feel more at home. And to some degree still is. We've been infected here over the years by those things on my list. But I was an idealist then and today I am more of a realist.
