Mission Members: Haiti and Canadian Peacekeepers

mission members: The names of the two male Sûreté du Québec sergeants have not been made public, according to CTV. For more than 20 years, Canadian peacekeepers in Haiti have tried to bring stability and security to a country that has seen decades of chaos. The allegations date back to 2013, when the provincial officers were serving on a peacekeeping mission in Haiti. But allegations of sexual misconduct against two former peacekeepers have some questioning Canada credibility. Criminal investigations were held in Haiti and in Quebec, but no charges were laid. One of the officers at the centre of the allegations allegedly frequented a bar that was off limits to mission members and attempted to solicit a local prostitute in January of 2013.
