McCorriston: Brandon resident Rhonda McCorriston reported the page to Facebook when she discovered it earlier this month. "I couldn't believe it," she said. "I think it really important when you see harassment, when it doesn't sound right, when you're not sure, then it your job to stand up for somebody, according to CBC. We all have a responsibility to do that." McCorriston said Facebook initially didn't take the page down. The page, which has since been taken down, had a profile photo that read "I hate immigrants." The page specifically targeted women in a Brandon neighbourhood and posted Google Street View images of their houses. She received a message saying the page wasn't against the website community standards. Police tried to identify the IP address of the founder of the group and its members but couldn't, police said in a news release. The Brandon Police Service said an investigation began in September of 2015 when police were made aware of the page.
