Arthur McDonald joined federal Heritage Minister Melanie Joly at the Discovery Centre in Halifax on Tuesday to announce two key programs to be launched under the $210-million Canada 150 fund. Six million dollars will be spent creating a travelling exhibition highlighting key people and discoveries in science and innovation that will travel to 80 communities across the country in 2017, including Halifax. Joly told The Chronicle Herald there are still many announcements to come. The second commitment, for $700,000, was for an exchange program called 150+Me that will bring together Canadian youth aged 14 to 19 to experience different parts of the country.
