"Thank you Canada! Thank you Canada!" the family chanted in English after being greeted by about two dozen family, friends and supporters. "I'm happy! Very happy!" Speaking through his sister, who translated from Arabic, Mohammed Kurdi also thanked Canadians and the government for making his dreams come true. "I'm happy! Very happy!" he said in English to a crowd of reporters. The reunion comes at the end of a difficult year for the family.
