: The refugee plan is not expected to be released Thursday when Prime Minister Justin Trudeau holds a press conference to discuss his upcoming trip to the G20 in Turkey, according to Toronto Star. The Liberals have remained adamant they intend to meet their target of 25,000 refugees over the next seven weeks. Details about how the new government intends to make good on its campaign pledge have been closely guarded since a special cabinet committee agreed on a strategy earlier this week. Immigration Minister John McCallum has said repeatedly that all options were on the table — including military transport, temporary housing on military bases, commercial air travel, and transport by boat. In addition to the domestic logistics, Canada will need to get permission from countries including Turkey, Lebanon and Jordan to allow the refugees to leave. But McCallum has acknowledged there are many moving pieces involved in achieving their goal.
