Jejne Jezernicki

: My father, born Jejne Jezernicki, grew up poor in a Jewish family in a town in northeastern Poland and spent his days searching for food, according to Globe and Mail. He climbed under fences to dig up potatoes, hiding them in his shirt. Born on April 7, 1913, in Suprasl, Poland; died on Aug. 5, 2015, in Sydney, N.S, of heart failure, aged 102. A farmer once set dogs on him for taking crab apples. Soldiers would put him on a bucking horse and make bets to see which side of the animal he would fall from. He broke in wild horses, and took their bran feed from the stables. (www.immigrantscanada.com). As reported in the news.
