Freshta Hashim and Afghanistan

Canadian Border Services Agency: Hashim family wants to avoid returning to Afghanistan because they fear her Taliban relatives, according to CTV. Prior to her deportation to the U.S., Hashim told CTV News she left Afghanistan because she feared her Taliban relatives. Freshta Hashim is now south of the border, after agents with the Canadian Border Services Agency transported the woman via ambulance from B.C. Women Hospital to a hospital in Washington State on Friday night. They were angered by her marriage to her diplomat husband, she said. Fearing for their lives, but overwhelmed by legal fees in the United States, they tried crossing into Canada last Monday instead. They said, ‘You guys went against our decision’, Hashim recalled. ’We are going to catch you guys and we are going to kill all of the family’. Hashim, her two young children and her in-laws landed in the U.S., hoping to claim refugee status. (www.immigrantscanada.com). As reported in the news.
