Canadian Refugee Sponsorship Agreement Holders Association and Canada

: At least two people shared photos of taxpayer-funded mailouts — apparently sent to the constituents of Conservative MPs in the past few years — that boast about government cuts to health-care services for refugee claimants, according to Huffington Post Canada. One mailer, allegedly sent by Ontario Tory candidate Scott Reid in 2012, featured a survey asking if refugees should get "gold-plated dental, vision, and drug benefits " Recipients could check a box saying either it isn't fair to give "better benefits to refugees than Canadians," or one stating refugees should indeed get "better government benefits than Canadian citizens." #TBT this really awful CPC MP "survey" about health benefits for refugees that was mailed to my parents. carlyrhiannon September 3, 2015 Another, allegedly sent by Ontario Tory candidate Paul Calandra last spring, asked constituents what "level" of health care the government should provide to "failed and fraudulent refugee claimants." @carlyrhiannon @Chantal Hbert I received something similar from @Paul Calandra last spring and was deeply offended Maggie Quirt September 3, 2015 The Huffington Post Canada has reached out to both Reid and Calandra for comment. But on Thursday, other images online sparked discussion about the kind of language members of Stephen Harper government have used in the past to discuss refugees. A spokesperson from Reid office said they are looking for the mailout and will reply next week. In March, Manitoba Tory candidate Lawrence Toet sent a mailer to constituents with a loaded question about Bill C-51, the government controversial anti-terror legislation that has since become law. These types of surveys are nothing new. (www.immigrantscanada.com). As reported in the news.
