: While Hamilton has much to be proud of on both scores, there is more to be done, say two leaders in their fields, Gary Warner and Tim Potocic, who are taking part in the Our Future Hamilton: Communities in Conversation workshop Sept. 19, according to Hamilton Spectator. Diversity Diversity does not happen spontaneously or with good intentions alone, says Warner, a McMaster University professor and a city activist. That true whether you are a tourist or a resident. It requires strategic and deliberate action and monitoring of results. "I think Our Future Hamilton is very important in setting a path and making priorities. If people look around and see themselves represented, it is encouragement to stand up and really engage and fulfil themselves." There is much to celebrate on the local journey to diversity. Deliberately engaging the Hamilton community as broadly as possible is a critical piece of it.
