Migrant Workers and Migrant Workers

leave Canada: According to the rule, migrant workers may only work in the temporary foreign worker program for a maximum of four years and then will be forced to leave Canada and wait another four years before they can apply to come back, according to Guelph Mercury. This government policy kicks out migrant workers at the four-year mark, even though they have worked to sustain important industries in our communities and have developed ties and a life here as well. Migrant workers will be forced to leave Canada and go back to their countries of origin starting on April 1, because of the new "four in and four out rule" that the Canadian government has passed. In Guelph, migrant workers work in farming, manufacturing and food processing jobs, among others. The industries these individuals have been working in still need them, as Canadian citizens continue to not want to work these jobs. This work is not going away. (www.immigrantscanada.com).
