Leslie Dube: Capital Campaign

Capital Campaign: Leslie and Irene Dube kicked in $1 million to the UP! Capital Campaign. The funds will go to help some of Saskatoons most vulnerable residents, according to CTV. Once completed, the UP! Campaign will help fund renovations, expansions, and enhanced programming at the Lighthouse. The renovation and expansion to-do list is long, and includes 68 individual rooms, a mens shelter, a womens shelter, a workout space, a nursing station, and an education and employment centre and The Lighthouse, a supporting living residence in Saskatoon, got a big financial boost Friday thanks to a the generosity of a local couple. The culture change is pretty shocking to a lot of the street people too and people that are on addictions. Its a huge huge problem thats not just in big cities, its here, and we re a small enough city that we should be able to get a hold on this thing and improve it and make a difference, Leslie Dube said.
