Rema Basa: "Almost everything we lost," said Rema Basa, who, along with her husband and three children, is now living in a motel filled with boxes of donated clothes, according to CBC. "Maybe they knew that we really need more than the residents of Canada because we don't have family here. They also give us special treatment. I can feel that." The town of Stony Plain is pulling out all the stops to help out temporary foreign workers who were left homeless after a massive apartment fire. With no family here to help them pick up the pieces , the ordeal has been one of the toughest in their lives, but one that could have been worse if not for the people of Stony Plain, Basa said.
