Kiden Thrifty: I will tell you why in a minute, according to The Star. She said, I started this in 2009 July 21 when I opened the door. It is my first business. How did she come to start a business and Aya Oryem sat on the steps next to Kiden Thrifty, a second-hand shop on Gerrard, between Sherbourne and Parliament. The day was warm but the steps were cold because Kiden Thrifty Ayas shop was locked up, shuttered, closed for good. Aya came here from Uganda in 1995. She had been involved politically there; she took part in demonstrations, because she is both reasonable and courageous. She has the scars her leg, her hip to prove it. I m guessing there other scars that she did not show me there on the steps.
