Cape Breton Regional Municipality: Nova Scotias

Nova Scotias: New Glasgow, the board says, still hasnt fully recovered from the 2008-09 recession, and an economic recovery has also been difficult to achieve for what the board refers to as Nova Scotias two other mid-sized cities Truro and Cape Breton Regional Municipality, according to The Chronicle Herald. Board economist Greg Sutherland says research shows employment growth is weak across Nova Scotia. That is in line with what the provincial Finance Department has indicated, Sutherland says. For Cape Breton and Truro, the economic performance is still positive, but it hasnt been great the past couple of years. New Glasgow has been much weaker than those two and The Halifax economy is performing well and the population is growing, but a Conference Board of Canada study suggests the story is different in the rest of the province. Truro and New Glasgow are, in fact, towns. (www.immigrantscanada.com). As reported in the news.
