The budget for the project is $350,000, according to CBC. City councillor Fulvio Valentinis is questioning the location. He is concerned about whether the flag will actually fly or remain limp and Windsor city council is expected to decide tonight whether to allow a giant Canadian flag to be raised at the foot of Ouellette Avenue, facing the Detroit skyline. Committee members say placing the flag in Dieppe Park is ideal because the park honours veterans for their service to Canada. They also say such a will inspire people and instil pride in citizenship.
