Eric Schmidt Dept: Zuckerberg group, Fwd.us, was unveiled Thursday, a week after Zuckerberg announced its formation in a Washington Post op-ed, according to CTV. Fwd.us, backed by technology heavyweights including Google Inc. chairman Eric Schmidt, Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer, LinkedIn Corp. CEO Reid Hoffman and venture capitalists John Doerr and Jim Breyer, is calling for immigration reform that includes effective border security, allows a path to citizenship and lets us attract the most talented and hardest-working people, no matter where they were born. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has launched an advocacy group that calls for changes to the U.S. immigration and education systems to help grow the country knowledge economy. The group creation comes ahead of an immigration bill expected to be unveiled by a bipartisan Senate group in the coming days.
