David Currie Dept: Chief Justice Joseph Kennedy accepted a joint recommendation for a 10-year sentence for Qian Zhang, 49, who stabbed David Currie to death in the early-morning hours of March 3, 2011, according to The Chronicle Herald. Court heard in an agreed statement of facts read by Crown attorney Chris Nicholson that Currie, 59 lived adjacent to the kitchen in the basement level of the rooming house, while Zhang lived across the hall from the kitchen.
