Book Signing: Black And White

Book Signing Dept: Read as Desired, the first author reading and book signing, is geared toward students but open to the public, and will be held from 10 a.m. to noon. Hill will read from his memoir Black Berry, Sweet Juice: On Being Black and White in Canada. The author will share his insights on racial identity and a book signing will follow. Admission to both is free but registration is required as space is limited. Listen as Desired, from 7 to 9 p.m., invites adults, ages 19 and older, to be part of an intimate exploration of African Canadian identity in literature. Afua Cooper, James R. Johnston Chair in Black Canadian Studies at Dalhousie University, will provide the evening introduction.
