Evi Quaid Dept: The one-time Oscar nominee took his battle to stay in Canada to Federal Court in Vancouver last month, at which time his wife, Evi Quaid, claimed he was rejected because he doesn't have a passport, according to CBC. The documents say that in November, the FBI sent Citizenship and Immigration Canada a report saying Quaid still faces a count of defrauding an innkeeper in California, an act equated to mischief under Canada's Criminal Code and movie star Randy Quaid was denied Canadian residency because of offences he s alleged to have committed in the U.S., not because he doesn t have a passport, News has learned. But according to documents obtained by News and filed with the court last week, Quaid is inadmissable to Canada because he s alleged to have committed an act that would be considered a crime in this country.
