Nova Scotia Dept: Nova Scotia is on its way to significantly increasing its immigrant population, with more than 700 families now in the provincial nomination program, the minister of the Nova Scotia Office of Immigration said Monday, according to The Chronicle Herald. In addition to the 700, another 23 people have been nominated under the Federal Skilled Worker pilot project and in November, Ottawa added 200 immigration nominees on top of Nova Scotia s existing cap of 500, bringing the total nominations for 2012 to 700, said a provincial government news release.
