Barack Obama Dept: WASHINGTON - U.S. President Barack Obama took the oath of office to begin his second term on Sunday, the eve of the national holiday devoted to Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., the country's most revered civil rights leader, according to Winnipeg Free Press. The oath was administered by John Roberts, chief justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, as the president's closest family members looked on. Roberts famously flubbed the oath four years ago when he swore in the country's first African-American president, but there were no similar hitches on Sunday and president Barack Obama is officially sworn-in by Chief Justice John Roberts in the Blue Room of the White House during the 57th Presidential Inauguration in Washington, Sunday Jan. 10, 2013, as first lady Michelle Obama, holds the Robinson Family Bible.
