Sandra Olmstead Dept: The food bank in Woodstock, Volunteer Family Services Inc., is seeing 15 to 17 new families each month, said Sandra Olmstead, according to CBC. Although they are given a living allowance, it's often not enough to keep them going, said Olmstead and some New Brunswick food bank administrators say they've seen a substantial increase in the number of families seeking help this year and they believe the reasons range from immigration rules to rising costs. Many of them are from other countries such as Germany, England and the Netherlands and have come to the region to work in the trucking industry, she said.
