Jury Foreperson Dept: Peer Khairi showed no reaction when the jury foreperson pronounced him guilty of murder Sunday. But he put his head down and wept quietly after the jurors left, according to The Star. He returns Tuesday for sentencing. He will automatically get life. The only question is how long he must serve before he s eligible to apply for parole. The minimum is 10 years. The maximum is 25 and a jury has convicted an Afghan immigrant of second-degree murder in the stabbing and near decapitation of his wife. He had taken the stand and admitted to stabbing his wife of 35 years, Randjida, 53, on the afternoon of March 18, 2008. The only question was whether he was guilty of manslaughter or second-degree murder.
