Kathleen Wynne Dept: Murray, 55, will launch his bid to lead the Ontario Liberals on Sunday in a lounge at Maple Leaf Gardens -- where the party will hold its leadership convention on the last weekend in January, according to The Star. Murray quit his post as minister of Training, Colleges and Universities to enter the fray, joining Kathleen Wynne , who quit as minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing and Aboriginal Affairs on Friday and the race to replace Premier Dalton McGuinty is starting to fill out as cabinet minister and former Winnipeg mayor Glen Murray joins the fray. A campaign source said Murray chose the location as emblematic of the campaign's theme of renewing Ontario's economy, similar to the way the historic hockey arena was transformed into an athletic centre for Ryerson University with a flagship Loblaws supermarket at street level.
