Dexter Dept: Premier Darrell Dexter said the increase, which brings the total of nominees to 700, is for this year only, and the province will have to continue lobbying for more spaces, according to The Chronicle Herald. Before filling that quota, it was tough to argue for a higher number, Dexter said and nova Scotia is able to nominate an extra 200 people to be fast-tracked through the immigration system this year.
