Sher Vancouver: Marie Lapuz

Social Coordinator Dept: January Marie Lapuz volunteered as a social coordinator, fundraiser and performer with Sher Vancouver, a social and support group for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender South Asians, according to Vancouver Sun. Alex Sangha, founder of Sher Vancouver, said Lapuz had a positive effect on almost everyone she met and the victim of a fatal stabbing last weekend in New Westminster was an active volunteer who is described as a "bright light and shining star." The 26-year-old was stabbed Saturday night and died Sunday morning in hospital. No one has been arrested in connection with her murder. (www.immigrantscanada.com). As reported in the news.
