Jian Ghomeshi: Hamilton

Radio Dept: Ghomeshi, Radio's Q host, is on cross-Canada book tour for his new, best-selling title, 1982. The tour brought him to Hamilton Friday night. He wasn't the only late one fans on their way to the show were sending tweets asking him not to start before they got there, according to CBC. He was the outsider, Ghomeshi said and arriving in his signiture leather jacket and T-shirt, Jian Ghomeshi is calm and collected, despite being stuck in traffic for two hours. The trip from Toronto to Hamilton was snarled by traffic. Ghomeshi's first book, 1982, is a collection of 10 stories based on his experiences being a 14-year-old David Bowie-wannabe, Canadian-Iranian living in the GTA in 1982. It's his story, with a bit of creative embellishment, Ghomeshi said, and infused with the likes of '80s rock stars like Bowie, the Talking Heads and the Clash. (www.immigrantscanada.com).
