The Afghan Women S Organization Dept: Peer Khairi complained he had no job, couldn t speak English and his children dressed differently, testified Gulaly Nawabi, of the Afghan Women s Organization, according to The Star. Khairi, 65, has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder in his 53-year-old wife Randjida s death on March 18, 2008. His lawyers admit he killed his wife of 30 years. What s at issue is the circumstances and his state of mind and an Afghan immigrant who stabbed his wife and slit her throat suffered from Canadian resettlement stress and seemed depressed, a mental health worker says. He has problems with his wife, Nawabi testified as she read from notes of several encounters with the couple spanning two years. He is not satisfied with his whole life.
