Provincial Finance Department Dept: The Nova Scotia Supreme Court has ruled that the provincial Finance Department failed to do its due diligence in disallowing a tax credit for an award-winning digital media production house, according to The Chronicle Herald and talk about sweet vindication. The ruling comes just months after Stitch Media closed its Halifax offices because it had failed to qualify for a tax credit in Nova Scotia that covers 50 per cent of labour costs. Instead it headed for Toronto where his company qualifies for a 40 per cent break.
