Durty Nelly: Botanical Delights

Toothy Moose Dept: There are so many historic sights, botanical delights and funky restaurants within walking distance that you can easily park your car or never rent one if you come by plane and enjoy the city on foot. And if you get tired, you can enjoy a coffee, tea or one of the city's home-brewed beers at the usual chain restaurants or from one of a wonderful assortment of independent establishments with unforgettable names - such as Durty Nelly's, Elephant's Eye, Toothy Moose, Maxwell's Plum and Your Father's Moustache, according to Montreal Gazette. Public Gardens: Every summer, I either pick up my daughter from university in Halifax, drop her off or visit her. It's difficult to have a child live far from home - but a true pleasure to get to go to Halifax every summer. These are my three favourite places to walk in downtown Halifax. All of them are free.
