Undergraduate Degree Dept: Students are taking on more debt, with the average price tag of a four-year undergraduate degree away from home ringing in at $84,000, said TD Economics , according to The Chronicle Herald. Now a troubling new report from the Atlantic Provinces Economic Council released Wednesday suggests that paying back that debt poses an enormous challenge for Atlantic graduates due to a sluggish labour market for young people and as herds of post-secondary students pack up and make the annual pilgrimage back to campus, students are saddled with more than boxes and textbooks. Soaring costs for tuition, books and living expenses have left the average post-secondary graduate $27,747 in debt, it found.
