Mountain Park School

Dept: Roughly 150 high school students woke up in cardboard tents Saturday morning in an effort to understand what it's like to be homeless in the city, according to CBC. All proceeds will go to The Alex, a non-profit agency that provides medical and social assistance to the homeless, low income and immigrant Calgarians and a school lesson designed to get Calgary students thinking outside the box when it comes to poverty put them inside of one for the night. Each student who signed up at Calgary's Mountain Park School also had to find a company sponsor for their tent. (www.immigrantscanada.com). As reported in the news.
