Martha Taylor Gregory: MBosso

Criminal Record Dept: MBosso was part of a feature story published by The Gazette in April , revealing that part of his criminal record involved the stabbing of Martha Taylor Gregory, woman who was 64 in 2005 when she was stabbed and beaten by four youths who stole her car. All four youths convicted in the 2005 case have since reoffended as adults. MBosso was the youngest of the four at the time but was already part of a street gang at age 13, according to Montreal Gazette. MBosso, who was out on bail when he was arrested last week, spent the weekend behind bars. He appeared before Quebec Court Judge Linda Despots on Monday where his lawyer suggested all of his cases be joined together to be heard on Thursday and in March 2011, the Federal Court of Canada confirmed a previous decision, by the Immigration and Refugee Board, ordering that Dikila MBosso, 21, be deported to Democratic Republic of Congo, after the court determined he was a member of a street gang tied to the Bo-Gars and was a dangerous criminal, based on his criminal record as a youth. Removing MBosso to the African nation where he was born has proven difficult as it is a country that Canada s Foreign Affairs department advises against visiting. Before he was arrested again last week, for allegedly drug trafficking with a woman, MBosso already had three other cases filed against him: illegal possession of ammunition for three types of prohibited firearms, forcibly confining five men in a social housing unit with two accomplices and leaving the scene of a car accident.
