He said Khadr has not been a threat while in jail and will not be a threat when he is released and omar Khadr's lawyers are calling on Ottawa to approve his transfer to Canada from Guantanamo Bay, saying he is a "good person" who deserves a second chance. "It's been a joy to see him as a student, he has such a love of learning which is something I think is important when you look at what someone's going to be like when they do get out of prison," said Jackson.
